    General

    Can I design a 3D model with 3D Juump ?

NO. 3D Juump Infinite is not a CAD tool. It is a tool for model exploitation and digital continuity, enhanced with features for context creation, maintenance, and learning. It is mainly aimed at users who do not engage in design.

Can I import any CAD data ?

YES. 3D Juump supports the vast majority of CAD and 3D formats available on the market: Catia, NX, Solidworks, etc…

The import of CAD data is handled through the 3D Juump Infinite connector on the server side. The model is then made available to all authorized users via lightweight client applications (web or native).

NOTE : Importing CAD data directly from the client’s workstation is not supported, as it would break the digital continuity.

Besides 3D model, can I integrate data from other sources (PDM, ERP, MES, MIS…) ?

YES. 3D Juump Infinite offers an API enabling the integration of various data sources. Information can be linked to the digital model at the part or assembly level (P/N), at the point-of-use level, or at the instance level (S/N). This makes it possible to directly associate maintenance information with elements of the digital model (e.g., stock levels, assembly schedules, next maintenance date based on serial number, etc.).

Is this a PLM in itself ?

NO. 3D Juump Infinite is not intended to replace inventory management or assembly planning tools. However, this data can be transmitted to 3D Juump Infinite, which acts as a super-index.

Does it include a search engine ?

YES. 3D Juump Infinite acts as a super-index for technical data, making it easy to search and filter. Full-text search, typed search, volume search, etc…

Does it support interactive annotations ?

YES. Several 3D Juump Infinite applications allow you to add comments or indications.
3D Juump Infinite Kiwi maintenance software offers an experience akin to PowerPoint or Google Slides, with tools for highlighting the 3D digital model using callouts, arrows, etc.
3D Juump Infinite Yuzu displays annotations already present in the model (consultation). The measurement workshop lets you create new measurement annotations (but not text).
3D Juump Infinite Lime lets you create concession notes.

    Can I suggest a feature?

YES! We are continuously improving our software and would be very glad to have your inputs. Feel free to contact us!

I have an idea for a new app using the DMU, can you help?

YES. By joining force with our service-oriented Akkodis colleagues, we can tailor your dream app “powered by 3D Juump Infinite”. Feel free to contact us!

    Do you support real-time collaboration?

SOON. Collaboration is achieved through a system of shared assets, but does not allow concurrent real-time editing. A dedicated collaboration application (3D Juump Cassis) is under construction but not yet available.

Can I consult the DMU in my web browser?

YES. The 3D Juump Infinite suite is a web-oriented client-server solution. The enriched digital model is indexed on the server side, then made available for consultation via applications (mainly web-based).

Can I customize the user interface ?

YES. The user interface supports customization (layout, color theme). It is also possible to develop custom applications with specific UI/UX thanks to the web API provided by 3D Juump Infinite (JavaScript/TypeScript).

Is the software available in other language than english ?

YES. The 3D Juump Infinite application UI supports multilingualism (currently available in FR and EN).

    Does it manage spare-parts ?

If you’re thinking of analyzing assembly steps to identify areas of weakness and optimize processes to reduce production time, then the answer is NO. Not yet.

Can I visit my digital mock-up in Virtual Reality?

SOON. The 3D Juump Infinite engine is compatible with industry standard (WebXR) and thus it is indeed possible to use it to visit your digital mockup with a VR headset. Though we do not feature a VR app for now, we are working on it!

Can I add Augmented Reality ?

The 3D Juump Infinite visualization engine is WebXR-compatible, but does not integrate an AR facility.
On the other hand, the supplied platform makes it easy to prepare exports that can be used directly by AR tools (FBX, GLTF format, etc.).

    Kiwi

What happens when my DMU changes?

Kiwi offers the option to automatically update the illustrations of your work procedure on a new configuration (variability axis) or following a change (time axis). You can focus on what really matters: analyse the impact of the change on the validity of the procedure.

Is the Kiwi player a dynamic, interactive instructions viewer ?

YES. Kiwi comes with a player that lets the operator on the assembly line freely consult the static work procedure. Moreover, by connecting to 3D Juump Infinite, the operator can, if desired, dive into these 3D views in order to better understand their complexity, move the camera, interact with parts, and more.

Do I need a licence to run the Kiwi player?

NO. A licence is only needed to dive in the 3D views.

Does the Kiwi player feature traceability, action history and feedback?

NO… until YES. The Kiwi player currently does not offer a mechanism for managing feedback. We are working on this feature for a future version. However, feel free to contact us if you have specific requirements.

    Does Kiwi support tooling?

PARTIALLY. The digital model of the industrial product can be extended to include tooling, but there is no specific functionality: 3D Juump Infinite treats tooling like the rest of the model.

Does Kiwi feature an integrated translation tool for multilingual work instructions?

NO. However, Kiwi features an icon library to help convey instructions in a more graphical way.
