You are a new 3D Juump Ace user, can you explain in which context you use our 3D viewer?
We wanted to propose our client a new working process to enhance the production of the technical documentation. 3D Juump Ace lets us visualise the digital mock-up of the cabin. Our client sends us several 3D files (most often in different design formats) which represent the cabin as distinct elements.
We would have, for instance, one file for the layout of the furniture, seats, dividers, another file for the modification of the water and air circuits, etc… 3D Juump Ace lets us combine those files and reconstruct, on a standard computer, the full cabin. We just have to drag and drop the files in the software and it combines them correctly, and automatically.
This way, our clients can send us fragmented files, we don’t need the complete digital mock-up, which, by the way, is often hard to obtain. Then we rely on this 3D model to write and illustrate the technical documentation.

What are the advantages of 3D graphics in your line of work?
3D graphics make the technical understanding easier, and helps writing the documentation. It’s an important visual complement, in comparison to the 2D fabrication plans provided by the client, because we can visualise perspectives and the environment.
We can illustrate the various maintenance scenarios step by step, particularly in the case of removal/installation of equipment. We can filter parts, create exploded views or choose points of view depending on the procedure we need to explain.
This new approach also has a real advantage for the mechanics, for instance, as they can project themselves better thanks to this global and precise vision of their work environment.
And finally, the strengths of our viewer according to you?
I would say… its ease of use: it’s very intuitive. And its ability to combine automatically files in various formats.
